SINOPSIS
With each passing day, because of natural or man-made catastrophes, more and more people are in need of shelter and therefore more and more architects and people with a humanitarian spirit are needed. In order to make things easier for the next generation, this book has the purpose to give the reader everything needed to start working on emergency architecture. It is divided into three main parts that treat the past, present and future of the emergency architecture. The first part is a quick look at the history of emergency architecture, the second part treats the emergency architecture as it is today by grouping all the current projects in several subgroups. The last part puts a series of guidelines that have been collected throughout the analysis of the successes and failures of both past and present projects.
